5th on TMC 43rd on TMS

I know the big story with voting is the drop from 3rd to 5th in a relatively short period of time on TMC, but there is also a link for voting on TMS.

I've been counting up since the last vote reset (every 15 days), currently we're 43rd:

with only 37 votes , I vote there every day, which means that somewhere around a quarter of these votes are mine (I can't remember quote how long since last reset)

Why do so many fewer people from sloth vote here?

I've voted in the past, and I vote when I generally can, but voting is best when it's done with sincerity.

I would like to think of the voting as a reflection of how many of their core players endorse the mud, rather than how many players they have.

As much as I'd like to think that all players would voluntarily vote for the mud for the immense amount of work that has gone into it lately, I've found the recent whoring of votes on the crier rather disturbing. People will vote for the mud if they want to, and people who can't be bothered won't be affected by the declining "popularity" of sloth on the rankings.
