Kjartan quests-- ' The quest is on. You all are on your own on this one.'
Kjartan quests-- ' It's on Valkyre, specifically around Newbatia'
What a beginning! Left on our own to discover the purpose and location of his quest, Rolf and his band of Valkers searched high and low across much of the Land of Newbies to find the source of the powerful army of never-before seen creatures. Tin knights and soldiers, Marionnette peasants and knights, Jack-in-the-boxes of all sizes, and even tin wizards were suddenly found all across the land destroying all players they came across!
The group took some time out to purge the land of the rampant army, then sought out the lair of these creatures. Our search led us to the Newbatian Attics, where the powerful "where" command showed us we were on track:
an evil wizard hand puppet - Abandoned Toys' Tea Party
Our foes were highly concentrated in the attics, but they were easily dispatched by such a dedicated group of adventurers. Suddenly we stumbled across the mangled corpse of the attic troll. It held a secret, discovered by Lugnut and deciphered by Sparkles.
Sparkles' discovery opened our passageway leading to a rather nasty creature, an organ grinder's monkey doll. Its foul magics slew Prince and Lockjaw before we were able to bring it down. Behind one final door, the 22 of us handily slew three more unique creatures, one of whom blasted the entire area with powerful frost and threatened to destroy us all. Still, the adventurers came out conquerer, and liberated three glowing slivers of steel from their foes, each worth 10 drachma to everyone in the group.
With the destruction of their leaders, the threat to Newbatia was gone. Kjartan himself came to congratulate us on a job well done, and rewarded Sparkles with a ruby muse cameo charm (+1 cha light clasp) for his cleverness.
His parting words left us troubled...
Kjartan says 'You finished it much faster than I figured'
Kjartan says 'next time we'll make them tougher

'
Thanks Kjartan for a sweet quest, Rolf for leading us, and all who came to help out!
