quicktime problems

hey everyone! long time no see. i just wanted help with a problem im having with quicktime movies on websites. I just upgraded to quicktime 7.1 and now videos wont play on the internet. i just get a white background with a big blue Q and a question mark. or i get a transparent square where the video should be and a windows like logo in the corner? can anyone help please?!!

ok i found out it isnt a quicktime movie, its an swf file but i installed the new flash and now i get a transparent square with a windows (i think) logo in the corner. its a box that looks like a puzzle kind of logo. come on i know you guys are computer geeks! lol
