why are quests so hard?

i think quests are way too frustrating. first of all you get the quest, and the only info you get is so vague that it hardly helps. like 'get the magic sword from the old man'

first of all it is almost impossible to narrow down what 'old man' that could be, as he could be anyone and on any continent, and even then there is like a 1% chance of the 'evil man' actually having the sword, so you have no idea if you're even looking in the right place at all.

I tend to agree Jiit, many of the autoquests are vague as all get out (though believe me there really are clues there), you can do what I do and forget about doing the vague ones (of course you won't end up with any drachma) or you can suffer through countless hours of attempting to search one of these things down. Heres what I really suggest though, once you get a quest, just print the damn thing out and keep a copy of it, mud as usual and as you get more experienced and know more about the mud in general you can go back to the quests you have printed out and say hmm maybe the old guy with the sword is really flight in den of theives (or what have you) and you won't have to worry about spending all of your time trying to track down stuff you don't even know about yet! Of course you could try to ask someone about the quests but most people who have completed them consider it a point of pride not to just blurt out the answers to everyone (as a matter of fact its an unwritten rule not to spill the beans on a public channel). So happy hunting and don't give up just yet!
