I wasn't going to respond but since Ezekiel wants to keep it going...

1) I was part of the Immortals who decided how to change hunt so it couldn't be abused, at the time I was not nearly the level I am now.

2) Some areas have those types of situations(mobs fighting mobs) purposely built into them. A perfect example is my own area where you can have Leng fight the Hunting horror or Seda's area with Moukan-so obviously I wouldn't be bitching and complaing about this.

3) If anyone's idea of a trick is to break a part of the game for everyone when they had a perfectly legitimate request they could of handed in for a new AND needed command before this happened, then they are an utter dumbass. This entire situation could of easily been avoided by telling me what was occuring and requesting a refusal of parcel command. Very nice "trick" btw, if I may borrow my favorite line from the Guiness commercials... "BRILLIANT".

As I said in my third post in this thread, yes we will work on a fix, but until then nobody better screw with the system.

As it stands now, I have ship working again. I've also removed the ability to ship food and a few other silly items. I am going to have the postmaster start sending items that have been there too long to the unclaimed bin here anyone can claim them. Please keep in mind that when this occurs you might better check the status of all your mail before others can claim it. I'm also quite sure there will be bugs in this process, so use ship at your own risk:-)

As for Shadis, simply ignore him like 99.9% of us do, he hardly even knows whats going on. Its not my code so obviously I wasn't bitching about having to fix my own code. And regardless of whose code it was, I still believe that this entire situation was avoidable if a couple people had made better decisions. I do agree with Medios that Shadis does nothing except try to instigate here, it probably is time to ban him and atleast make em work for his posts. But many of us love his posts-they are simply extremely entertaining to those of us who actually know what it is going on.

I am sorry for getting pissed off and there is no excuse for it. I simply hate having to rush to do work that I feel is totally avoidable. As well, when I have to bust my ass to get the game working right, it takes away from being able to work on stuff I enjoy.

I would of been quite delighted to have a bug fix coded before it was abused which would of prevented the entire playerbase from being affected. Its simply too bad we never had the chance...

I really haven't paid much attention to what's going on, so I might be off on this, but I was assuming that the goal was to use up a pthief's 9 shipping slots so they couldn't ship items to themself. I realize there should be a refuse option that would keep this from working, but since it does work, I don't see it at all as trying to abuse anything, I just see it as trying to outplay the pthief, and there would be no reason to assume it's going to break the mud. If the goal was to disable all shipping so it couldn't be used, well then yeah, I have an issue with people who would do that.

Incidentally, I used the "shipping silly items" to transfer coins amongst my characters. Hopefully not all things that are cheap to ship have been disabled, and I would assume that won't be a problem.

I have never liked Rick's attitude as an immort here, personaly think it is just wrong ..as much as i have disagreed with Jake and how he has done things, the way he relates to and posts as has always been consistent and professional (do not even start by comparing to my style of posting .i am not and never will be an immort on sloth) and i have as much right to express my opinion here as you do

and i do still play, not nearly as much as i used to. i enjoy playing low level characters more then high one so i have multiple sub 20 lvl characters

BTW i still hate stab lag ..i think it sucks and it stil has ruined thieves, i have simply restrained myself from bitching more about it because of people like you who constantly use it as an example

Just a quick question. The unclaimed items from shipping, do those go to the Auction House or is there some other command to check them?
