Just a suggestion, would it be possible to have your basic spells such as heals NOT fail outside of combat. I don't see that failed spells while you are regening add any realism or enjoyment to the game. Well, they don't add any enjoyment during combat either, but I suppose realism wins out there. :)

I just want to know is why Daedalus use "zz" as cast restore self....
I use "cr" and I cast restore on myself.
To heal tank I triggered "crt" = cast restore tank :)

Unlikely to happen. Partly because on some thicker mobs it's not uncommon to flee and then come finish them off later.

There are some things you can do to regen faster though. The basics are make sure you're not hungry or thirsty since they cut your hp regen in half. Sleeping doubles your regen rate, just make sure it's a safe place since some mobs are aggressive to sleepers.

If you can afford 30 drachma and are on BH, you can buy a letter from the quest shop, which will take you to Treasures and Dreams Square. Regen rates are higher there, don't remember exactly how much. Used to be an annoying spot for pthieves to hang out... so be careful. Regeneration spell also helps.

For regenning mana, all the of the above, plus having high wisdom helps. I believe you get a bonus to mana regen for every point above 14.

You'll find lots of folks have regen gear. Can be some expensive stuff, but cuts down regen time a LOT. Check the eq list and you can probably find something that can help you. Best suggestion for something quick is the bamboo fishing pole that you can buy in most general stores for 1500 coins. It's +3 hpregen and helps tremendously at lower levels. Just remember to switch it out to fight if you need to.

Happy hunting.
