monk tank anyone?

Extra mult for grip/touch or like thiefs they get 1-2x more mult on stab.
Same with "Strike". Yes i know its free, but a prime monk should be able
to do more then a wa/mo which does about the same currently.

i went through this with splork about once a week for a few months about a year or two ago
i think he adjusted kensai so that it adds more dmg than focus

who said prime thieves get more mutli on stab? (not talking about poison)
can anyone verify this?

I was under the impression stab (w.o. poison) was stab.

thieves get the extra multi at 40

i know cocaine at +14 dmg with poison stabbed as hard as shival with a kris
and like +22 or whatever it was

Yup that was my point that a Prime thief has more damge (i thought it was
3x more then a non-thief, however maybe it was every 3 lvl a thief gets
extra mult).

Can any1 verify that a Prime Monk has more "Grip/Touch" dam then a
non-prime monk? Same with Alias saying Monk has a natural +3hand dam.
Same with Aa saying about Ki to Focus. Then again when u fail Ki, u just
use Focus, so adding more damage to Focus has a % to fail.
I do know Prime Monks = a higher dam reducer, but I don't think it helps
much with my -4ac.

Correction on my part, Touch is lvl38 tard. So a lvl40 monk doesn't have
anything to really look forward to until 38 tard. Also I know I stated this
before, but maybe I don't understand it. Crippling Strike ... does this skill
improve stabs damage? If so, again weres the love for Monks?

a thief prime has stab multi of 15, grab a 1d1 dagger and test it, it's fun. a non prime thief has a stab multi of 14 (last time i tested anyway), see above. the love for monk comes from the fact that as long as you wanna keep runnin xp, you can keep addin on the hand dmg. quit trying to compare your class with the thief class, they aren't the same. monks aren't meant to kill as clean and as quick as a thief. end o story. and yes monk primes have more natural hand dmg than non primes. as i said b4, vaire has more hand dmg than nab. nab does more dmg w/ his dtouch. that's about as straight forward as i can say it. you also get to grip ethereal mobs, which if you bother to learn the mud some is a huge advantage since ethereal mobs have an even bigger xp multi than nostab mobs. you get the faster focus, also a big help, rarely is the time i ever sit around long enough to focus to full, it's just too slow for a non prime. can a non monk prime run nostab mobs? sure they can, but not as well as a monk prime.

Reading all this makes me think you would like a single class mud with 1 class available that does everything so that everyone has the same level of power, with the same skills, with the same eq, and able to do the same mobs and run the same xp.

Whats the point of having a monk class if it does the same as thief, then again why have thief if monk can do just as well? Hell, lets give necros the power to blast like mages and do away with mages, or give druids higher heal spells than clerics and junk clerics.

So what you don't do the same dmg with monk as you do with thief... and want to play the same style of play with monk as with thief.... then by all means play a thief, noone is stopping you.

Ya its an up hill battle asking for some more love that other ppl has posted.

Sooo I guess there is nothing more to post to ask more "skills" for monk.

Does anyone want to define Crippling Strike?

IIRC Monks get between prime 40 and 38 avatar

more dmg reduction
increased dmg
the avatar retreat thing
a better strike
a better (but still frickin useless) stun
about 250hprgn
prediction
swiftkick (like ambush but with dgrip and outside)

hey, I play a mage

could u please make my lvl 40 frostbolt do as much as a triple stab with poison. that way i could splork mobs like a thief too.
