I believe the standing guidelines on Sloth for clan related stuff is that being in a clan should not provide any substantive bonus to the player and that not being in a clan should not restrict a player from any part of the game. Thus anyone can participate and on anyone else's team. If a particular clan wants to field a team and name themselves the DS, DoW, Pirate, Sapphire,...etc team thats fine. But ultimately anyone is free to be on anyone else's team.
Regarding Tap's suggestions:
Pstealing will be on or off depending on the the master switch. It won't be "enabled" or "disabled" in this one zone. Taking anything from someone's corpse however is disabled. You are only able to loot your own corpse. However I did make it so that when you kill someone, their gold automatically transfers to you.
Regarding Resouh's suggestions:
A trophy is easy enough to make and give out, but I'd rather see trophy eq. There are already the Mantour Gaunts, but it would be nice if the admin could be talked into making some new tourny eq. Seems kinda unfair that the only tourny item is stabber eq. Perhaps something ACish and something with nice mana regen+spellbonus could be added.
I will try to make the arena automated as you suggested tho, perhaps where you can challenge the top team for the trophy eq and they have x number of weeks to respond before their eq poofs. Perhaps you would have to pay to challenge them. This will have to be further down the road tho, it'll be a coding challenge. The board would also have to wait as I don't know how to do it yet.
If teams want to wager eq on on a fight, I could just do it manually. Teams give me the stuff to hold onto and I give it to the winners. I could try to automate this also down the road.
Thanks for the ideas.
Any volunteers for player testing on Sunday afternoon or evening? Send me a private msg via the crier and pls give me your char's name. I might also do some mob testing sometime soon. So if you hear some new mobs talking smack on gossip, I'd appreciate it if you'd dispatch them. They should take no more than 3-5 players and some are even soloish.
Talk to the clown.
