I hate PETA

Postby Hades » Fri Jun 22, 2007 10:54 pm

Taking a break from the abuse I'd just like to say that every day it seems the world gets a little crazier. I heard a news radio broadcast in which a woman
was attacked by a pitbull and had to taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
Ok... tragic news and a shame that it happen BUT.. in the same breath, I swear, the newscast went on to say that the pitbull was shot by a neighbor in the face and pronouced dead at the scene. WTF!!!!

Much easier to shoot it and have it checked for rabies than to observe it for however many days it takes. Props to the guy that shot the dog, Im not for shooting of dogs that don't deserve it , but attacking (not just a bite) is warranted.

You did see the guy in florida that got attacked on his porch by a bobcat ?

it bit him and scratched him while he choked it to death, upon examination it was rabid.

Freaky to sit on your porch and get attacked tho.

Kinda like Irap.

Postby Autolycos » Mon Jun 25, 2007 12:38 pm

Indeed.

at what point during the whole bobcat fandango before the lunging, biting etc do you think the guy said "you knocked over my beer" do you reckon?

Erm

Postby Hades » Mon Jun 25, 2007 10:19 pm

Ingame someone was mistakenly pointing out that I disagreed with the killing of the dog. My point was, a pet is a pet. Not a human. Maybe I'm the only one but the 'humanizing' of animals is stupid. They, at times, have more rights than people. Someone famous, I forget who, once commented that in times of tragedy not unlike Hurricane Katrina, more people were concerned about adopting 'lost pets' than giving aid to their fellow man. That's f'd up.

if those "fellow men" would have gotten off their asses and left when told to instead of waiting for the government handouts to come and magic them away......those goddamned katrina "victims" got FEMA handouts and would spend it on $500 louis vuitton purses while their snotnosed pickaninny brats were standing there with holes in their clothes. those same "victims" were blatantly showing their faces to the news cams while they stole tv's and other things knowing full well that there was not a damn thing the cops could or would do. and now those "refugees" are bringing their gangs and their crime to the cities they fled to. and when the city was opened again, those sponges who "wanted" jobs would not get off their cushy FEMA vouchers and go help rebuild their city. and there are people who are residents of the states the refugees fled to who needed jobs and apartments and could not get those jobs or apartments because they were being held for "katrina victims". victims my ass. there were over 2000 school buses that wound up underwater because no one would go get them (break into a shack or something) and load up people and get them out. i don't wanna hear "poor victims" any longer. they made their bed - now they can sleep in it. the humans had knowledge to leave. fukck the goddam ned pets....those are replaceable. humans, otoh are not. *stepping off soapbox to await the inevitable flaming*

FB rant

Postby Avatar » Tue Jun 26, 2007 6:06 pm

It's dangerous to generalize some attributes to a large set of people. There's only a part of the refugees who abused the FEMA awards. There are also some portion of the refugees who are already back trying to rebuild their communities. Maybe we should judge everyone affected by Katrina as if they are a member of that second group, instead of the first? It makes just as much sense - which would be very little. In the end, you're insulting a lot of people who don't deserve your scorn.

all of them, however, voluntarily moved to/stayed living in a coastal basin area that is below sea level.
that's like crying when you get snowed on in Colorado, or earthquakes hit in California.

agreed....it is bad to generalize. sometimes it is hard NOT to, but when i (and several other ppl i know irl) have been denied jobs and been disallowed to even fill out an app to try to get an apartment because i did not have a frikkin FEMA voucher, because i actually WANT to WORK for my money instead of having the taxpayers pay for it, it tends to be a kick in the teeth. when i see people come into the store where i work wearing gold chains, brand new designer clothes, gucci purses and pay for their groceries with a fukking food stamps card it tends to chap my ass a bit. when it gets thrown in my face every single day that the money and taxes i work hard for goes to someone who WON'T work, who continues to get pregnant and squeeze out kid after kid just to keep getting more and more welfare.....well, it tends to make me just a wee bit bitter! not only that, but they live in an apartment and pay only $8 a month rent (not an exaggeration) while i cannot afford to pay full price because i choose to work for a living. mumblegrumble *stalks off to smoke another bowl*

"hey, honey, our baby's here... he looks just like your boss." who father --> how the grinch stole christmas
