Not loosing a sense of humour is arch-important.
Riot policeman says: "Houston, we've got a problems..." after he realizes their chances to raid through 6m height barricades :)

Believe it or not - this girl sleeping in Labor Union HQ is Ruslana, yes, Eurovision winner singer.

One more nice night view.

I find it interesting

It is not about the politics, it is about people's day to day lives in other countries

Long time no update, fixing that.
Yesterday, our parlament accepted some 'laws', that restricts civil right immencely.
Without discussion, without order and regulations, without commitees conclusion, breaking many Constitution's statements, etc.
Voted by raising hands, counted in 1 second, announcement that the law had passed voting in 1 sec.
This shifts the state in police dictatorship like North Korea or Belarus.

Video of voting here(all in Ukranian, ignore, just watch, its self-comprehensible): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gx0Dx75bbQk

What wil be soon depicted here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzP97_c9C44
(Independence Day in Belarus; guys in civil uniform - dressed up cops or security agents)

Opposing politicians trying to keep things in law plane, but the People listen to them less and less.
Calls to armed uprising can be heard very frequently.
I think things going to be real ugly very soon, and I will participate.

Situation gone wild.
Massive clash with riot police along the way to Parlament and Ministry buildings.
Cops barricaded themselves with cars and buses, people burned them, throwing rocks and molotovs at cops, who hide under shields and lob noice grenades, grenades with tear gas.

Few photos of whats going on (taken not by me):

Morning update of what was going on yesterday all day and night.
Long story short: after Parlament opposition proposed to carry on more so-called "negotiations", the People refused and acted: around 6 police department cars and buses burned down, police lines near Parlament was trown on rocks, molotov cocktails, random junk; few clashes took place and we were victorious - cops retreated shamefully. Police retailiated with tear gas, gum bullets, canister shots and water thrower. Few moderate casualties, but none dead afaik. All around country people going to assemble in Kyiv Euromaidan to reinforce the struggle.

I find it really disturbing, Ukraine population is 45 million people. The most people that ever showed up for these protests were 200,000. This is 0.4% of the population and yet the government is allowing this minority to conduct such atrocities.Nothing good will come of this and Ukraine is well on its way to becoming the new Lybia/Syria, where a minority is going to destabilize and terrorize the lives of normal people in an otherwise stable country.

Thats not true. Official numbers - up to 1.5M people at the same time, announced by Ministry of Internal Affairs, but they usually announce much lower to make it appear small. If you was paying attention - and you was *not* - in every big city there was protests, and they still are, 2 months already.
You can't know the truth, because your russian TV is lying shamefully - is not even funny anymore, its just plain simple brainwashing. They lying because they afraid something will happen in Russia too, but it will not - your people too afraid, self-excuse, not support each other, sitting in their holes, happy with their semi-slave existence, not care about country, turning blind eye on corruption, "not their business", "got work to do", "got familty to take care of", etc.
What you call atrocity - is bloody beating of students at 4AM December,1 after that day all began.
Rigged fake 'voting' for laws that suppress Constitution's statements, use of army against own people, beaten journalists, people disappearing - is what govt doing.
Mind you own country, noone here in Ukraine needs your 'help' in explaining of whats *really* going on, because we do know it - we liberate our country from dictatorship and criminal government. Stay away from our business.

As for todays' night, there was a lot of action. Few hundreds of government-paid young men ("scum") dispersed with orders to burn cars, break shop windows and attack people, but they was not successful - our Self-Defence Forces retaliated, captured few dozens, took away lists of organizaers (former criminals with sentences) and forced to apologize before Ukraine's People! The scums admit that their crowd-masters gave them alcohol and drugs to 'relax'. This scheme to wreak havoc failed. None of scum was harmed.

PS. Also, lets not forget, that civil war in Lybia and Syria is very supported by russian president Putin - he supplies those regimes with weapons, including chemical - what actually *is* actrocity and crime against humanity, I'm sure you know that :) Putin is much interested in Ukraine as part of his new ex-ussr empire, but he will break teeth - mark my words.

There is corruption in every country and there is red tape in every government.
You want to try and destroy your own country and kill your own people to try and change your leaders by force because you think it's going to change something and give you more freedom or a better life? Go ahead, but you are and everyone else who allows themselves to be manipulated like this is a fool and you will only make things worse for you and everyone else.

That's not true :) To destroy our country - is the goal of Putin and his lackeys, if they wont succede to rebuild the empire.
Yes, sure, "nothing is going to change, no point to protest" :) Its better to sit at home and wait.
Agree that corruption is everywhere, but right now right here in Ukraine it reached the level when no longer can be tolerated.
I think more freedom and better life - is the way it should be and its our goal, because president is illegitimate and usurper, and must be overthrown. No group of politicians can restrict Peoples' rights and freedoms "just because".
According to our Constitution, the People is the only source of power and authority, and the People said their opinion, government did not listen, ignored, gave order to beat up protesters with extreme violence - now molotovs and rocks do the talking. We only respond to govt's doings, we protect the constitutional order and each other from criminals in high halls.
We have not enough rights. We need the right to bear arms.

Update: you say president Yanukovich is our 'leader', but this is not true as well. In 2004 the Parlament in lawful way changed some parts of the Constitution to resolve the crysis that started after rigged fake president's elections was confirmed by the court (300 of 450 votes of Parlament's deputees was nessesary and this voting took place). Later in 2010, when Yanukovich became president, the Constitutional Court changed the Constitution, returning very much of power back to president. The truth is, that the Constitutional Court CANNOT CHANGE the Constitution, it can only explain and make its statements clear, but not change, dont have right to change. Therefore, very much of current president's power is illegitimate. He is usurper. Now, he's trying to install dictatorship and remain president idefinitely - just like Putin, or Lukashenko, or Kim Jong Il, of some African guys (dont remember their names, sorry).
What else can I do to explain to you whats going on? :)
