Shame the epic group didn't finish off zallah. It was nocap honor and loaded with extra drachma.

I understand it is difficult. The biggest complaint I heard from several people is that its just too difficult to get there.

I scratched my head on this one. There are no aggros on the way to Iblis and there's not a single room in the expansion that's flagged nogate. The recall point being set to godland was my fault for sure, but I restored Minstrel each time he needed to there and back you from BH.

I heard there's too many charging aggros in the expansion. But not a single PC got killed by one and they popped shards for you. I'm not even sure you had to kill them all.

I heard complaints about there being a big ether mob in front of the epic. But the mob in question loaded a tasty surprise for you.

If you think its too hard, don't kill it I guess. But I've seen u guys work a lot harder for less reward.

Blame Minstrel. After repeating myself 100 times I refuse to lead.

Edit: I forgot to mention that when some of the group flees, then dies to summoned mobs and then the group is recalled to another continent and my beacon wont work it really gets to be a pain to get back to save the ppl who died. I partially gave up because half the group left and my beacon wasnt working in Salamis anymore. Add that to the fact that I couldn't control the group and it was more than a pain in the ass. I would hope that when I join a group the leader doesn't have to tell me what to do. However this is never the case.

Well, recall point has been fixed and now you know u can just set beacon east of iblis. So I hope someone feels inspired to try again one day. It will help when someone posts a map of these areas.

The undiscovered treat is worth cycling, even if Zallah is down.

Heh I was in that group. One of the first to die and I watched person after person after person after person after person drop while people grouptelling staff! staff!. Yet entire group went down with the slowly sinking ship. No one staffed. No one recalled. 2 people managed to flee. Sometimes a room full of dead people is just, User Error.

It's easy to say the mob is unfair. Harder to learn how to kill it well. Mob died in the end and everyone was well compensated.

I do intend to tune him down a bit. But hard to sympathize with complaints of excessive difficulty when group finally succeded and everyone in group got drachma and nocap honor.

If it is hard to sympathize then why turn him down. I say leave him and wait about 3 months and find out if anyone other than me will lead it. It is a good addition to Salamis, the place where nobody kills.

Was this the same mob where a while back everyone in the group got 4000+ honor points for killing it? Sounds pretty nasty. I don't think I've been in an honor group since before then.. was kinda peeved at dieing so many times (and corpsing) as a tank or 2.tank previously, for comparatively little points and usually waaaay negative experience because of corpsing experience penalties, then everyone in that group got that huge bonus I just kinda gave up on the whole thing. Only punishing myself though I guess, but it kinda sucks tanking those mobs, seriously - takes ages to get that exp back again, particularly if you have to solo most of it. blah. boo freaking hoo. whatever.

Everyone has their own interpretations of a mob. Epic mobs werent made for exp. Yes they give large amounts of exp. But they were intended to be quest level mobs, and in quests, you die (alot).

My point for epics was something bigger to do, to test your metal. Yes, due to RL issues a lot of the plans I had to add on to the system have been put by the wayside for now, till this out-of-control spiral ends for me.

As for the mobs... these mobs arent easy to make. Look at the rest of the mud.. The only basis for comparison are the handful of mobs I made in the beginning, so anyone who is willing to step up and make some additions to the system or more content there-in should be applauded for their effort.

Me and Juggle have had our differences in the past... butted heads a few times, but I for one am appreciative that he decided to work on some material to add to the system. This being his first experience working with the mobs and their level of difficulty, I say give him a break. Practice makes perfect.

From what i saw watching the effort today, Zalla is no more difficult than Alhoon or Pale Night... possibly quite easier. Let's not mention the Omnimental that summons elementals that will splork most of the group themselves alone.

I know they're aggravating and annoying. Ok. I know. what else you want? It looks like I'll be adding some more soon (depending on the outcome of this week).

Fair comment, some of my reasons exist in this rant too. You have to admit... if your a tank in an epic group, no one would sell you life insurance... well if your a no-protter at the back, you bot, you flee, you live, you get reward... Poor lil weaselie :(

In the time it takes to get rank for the +5hp and +5mana you could buy those stat's at 5x40 avatar easy. It's why I still question the size of the reward.

Non the less, thanks Juggleblood and Akasha for creating this controversary, it gives me more chances to waste my life commenting on this board, about groups I don't join! :twisted:

PS Congratulations Truth on dieing with no mana this time! :twisted: It was noted! :)

That's nice Akasha, I sincerely hope other's are happy with that, but it's still not enough for me personally to warrant that amount of effort. I figured +dam or something, which in sloth is probably the best +1 you can get... or maybe some spellbonus... (probably capped on our elite tards already though)

-0.1 ac may help some warriors... 15mana is a couple of extra magic missiles on the kobold sage, and 15hp might absorb the damage he cuts me for. I still don't understand, why I still miss with +25 to hit shifted, so +1 not too big there either.

I'm probably just hard to please, in fact, yes I think I am...

When epics start it was like some sort of a quests on ingame basis. But now i see ppl don't like quests, they prefer to sponge honor and drachma on easy mobs. I agree Zalla was big, either and has a bunch of little annoying mobs guarding her but it still was killable.

And as for me I don't think mobs like Lupine, Uhhhl, Atlas and even Lucifer should give that amount of honor they do. They should be much closer to Bolg, the King of goblins. I think you will agree with me - Lucifer is very similar to Seal Guardian - just big, fat, one-run, chop mob.

I wonder where are all those legendary players who will challenge to fight with Zalla, Tarrasque and such instead of saying 'we aren't big enough, let's kill Lupine'?
