Anyone else played the demo yet? Holy crap, what a way to **** up an old and respected franchise. There are plenty of other games with 'new' combat systems to cater to the '5-minute-attention-span' set, and DQ8 does just fine with a regular rpg system so wtf was square thinking?

thats what happens when you lose your longtime director and the new guy wants to make his mark on the series. it seems to me like he thought playing a MMOG by yourself would be fun. i really liked the system in X (liked it alot) this one hmm, i might even not play it (and i can't believe i'm even thinking that)
