Summon Undead Creatures

I also play Rayne.

As of now, I'm a 4x40 necro. I have a question about summon undead creatures because I'm not sure if what I'm seeing is a bug or not. When I was first able to summon a poltergeist, it lasted for 10 game hours as expected. Then when I was able to summon a wraith, the wraith would last for 10 hours and a poltergeist would last for 20 hours - the max time. I have now reached the level to be able to summon a banshee. The banshee lasts the expected 10 hours, but a wraith does NOT last for 20 as I would have thought. A wraith still only lasts for 10 hours. I have tested this multiple times in a day and on multiple days, so it is reproducible. Can someone tell me if this was an oversight on the wraiths or if it was intentional? Any information would be appreciated.

You get more duration to your summoned creatures as your Necro level increases past the minimum level to summon them.

For all the summons unlocked at or after level 40, duration is capped at the minimum time: 10 minutes. Your Necro level never increases, so you're always the 'minimum level' to summon them.

It would be nice if it did continue, but I think the immortal consensus is that necromancers are pretty strong and don't need the help.

I respectfully disagree with your assessment. Help Summon Undead Creatures lists the following:

Poltergeist lvl 40
Wraith lvl 2x40
Banshee lvl 4x40

Poltergeist duration is 10 hrs at 40, but duration is 20 hrs at 2x40 (documented above, and repeatable). Wraith duration is 10 hrs at 2x40. So being capped after lvl 40 necro at 10 hrs duration for summon creatures is an inaccurate statement. Following that logic, Wraith duration should be 20 hrs at 4x40, when reaching the ability to summon Banshee, and Banshee duration would be 10 hrs. But Wraith duration is still stuck at 10 (documented above, and repeatable).

I make no claim about how the spell should work.

The fact is, your Necro level is the only thing that modifies the spell, and your Necro level has been '40' for a long time. If you become an immort you might be able to get an extra 6 minutes by raising your level to 46.

Edit: Reading comprehension. Now I see your point with the poltergeists lasting extra time. Maybe there was an attempt to increase the durations with 40s, which would be awesome. Alternately, the extra time on poltergeists may be a leftover from when the spell was originally made, and only required a level 30 necro. Obviously something has changed, so feel free to ignore my outdated observations!

It is not an oversight and Magi is pretty close to correct. If I summon Polters I get 27 minutes of them:) If I summon any mob which takes a level 40 or more, I get an additional 7 minutes. This is impossible for you guys. Any mob which requires the player the level of 40 necro, will only get 10 max, I believe.

I may be wrong, been awhile since I browsed this code...
