quest undertake causing command denial

Postby Oboe » Thu Nov 04, 2010 10:14 pm

After undertaking a quest at about 2010-11-04 19:45 (mud time), the mud no longer processed my commands while I remained in the room with the questing mob. I just got a new prompt without any of the command's usual outcomes:

You ask a naga about 'quests'.
A naga tells you 'I offer the quest 'pretty_clothes' for 100000 experience points.'

You ask a naga about 'pretty_clothes'.
A naga tells you 'I am going to a wedding at my temple and I don't have anything to wear!'

undertake pretty_clothes
A naga tells you 'Can you bring to me something pretty? I need something that I can wear easily and would like it
to have many colors, and ribbons.'

I stilled received any mud messages (mobs casting spells, being hungry, tells, gossips, etc), but my commands had no effect as shown above. Chobbs pushed me out of the room, and my commands once again worked normally. When I re-entered the room, my commands again ceased to work. Disconnecting and reconnecting had no effect. Chobbs also indicated that one other player recently reported this, for a different autoquest.

The same thing happened to one of my alts.
I was at Captain Morgan, undertook his quest , completed it and then i couldn't do anything. Mud wasn't responding.

To fix this problem I had to void, autorent and log on back.

Hope that helps
