the purpose of the new forum was to close a million bugs in the old one
and like i said, i don't mind installing new skins, but i cant/wont be changing everything every time someone complains about it. i wouldn't get anything done.

not meaning to sound like an ass, but this skin was always temporary until i find someone to do a custom skin. if you know someone who is good with skins and wants to tackle it, let myself or even better splork know since i apparently don't have a good sense of aesthetics.

re p.s. : clan stats - there are a few more things i can set up, like total levels, total gold, that sort of thing but haven't had the time to do it.

re p.p.s. : the eqlist was actually open and able to be used (minus advanced search functions -- you could still query by name and get the stats of an item).

i had it enabled so that people could use it while i go do my standard 16 hour work shifts, but then i get swamped with complaints, which in itself is fine. if you want to gripe, gripe, but give constructive criticism. don't just log on and say 'this shit sucks'. so i disabled it again until i get time to work on it some more.

eventually i plan on getting the xml interface back up, and maybe an old style output where it shows it in a standard table like before. of course there is only one me, so i can only focus on one thing at a time.

... ask for help perhaps? plenty of us that play are drawn to muds because we're geeks and for the same reason are drawn to the IT industry ... many of the players here must have skills that could be used if only someone would tell us what needed doing or ask for help,

I've seen eqlist work, but it had outdated item names and ac stats.

Splork mentioned something an eqlist that's updated from the mud database, based on total recited scrolls/identify spells and such: this is what I'm anticipating with abated breath
