Yeah, I don't see where noobaturds are really siphoning off that much xp. But people are entitled to group whoever they want. I remember powerleveling on lyme where I'd lead 3 or 4 man xp. A bunch of people would ask to join and it made me irritable, because I didn't really feel like letting anyone in, but felt guilty saying no. Locking group and going notell is an option tho. No need to be dramatic about it.

I am very new to Sloth. What amazes me is this discussion thread because I understood Sloth to be a grouping game. I was hoping for my own reasons, before I left VK to get all 8 classes to 20. I had hoped I would get the gist of Sloth by that time and receive decent stats. Now there are players who have power in the game dictating how much I should level and the need to get off VK so I can continue to acquire experience or I will not be able to group. No one likes to be told or given limits how a person should play a game and I resent the fact that I cannot be free to level to 8x20 if I want to before leaving the newbie area. I am not saying I can’t but it will be so much more difficult without grouping. Personally, what drew me to sloth was the emphasis of grouping and I continued to play because so many players have been very helpful. This limit of playing style gives me second thoughts about whether Sloth is the game for me. What other limits will players come up with in dictating how others should play?

Nyara, you're not getting the reason why I dislike valk.

1: Seeing the wholist with 10 level 20's (who are also 6x20, 5x20, 4x20, 3x20...), and then no one between levels 21 and 40... I dislike this a lot.

2: People leveling off valk and going from level 20 to 30 prime in a second.

3: People who don't know about drachma have leveled off valk and cannot return.

4: People stay level 20 for extremely long periods of time just trying to pop jjd and clownsleeve cps, and finishing drachma quests.

I love to group, I want people to group with me, but I hate when 10 level 20s' come to my group to get exp, and they die and takes mana to raise and heal them, when they could be leveling and contributing a lot more in groups. Level 20's who are staying on valk for specific reasons should be on valk trying to pop their eq and cps. I can understand if some want to gain a few levels, but 10 level 20's???

I could just start leading and not allowing people below level 40, but I want to help low levels get up there fast. I hate playing low level characters, personally. I don't think that would be very nice of me to exclude all the level 39's and below and I don't want to do that.

If you read my first post, I tried to make the post read pleasant and concerned about Sloth. Then people started jumping on me and I got all defensive and started lashing out, I'm sorry. I'm not trying to attack the real newbies. Most the 20's who are staying on valk are probably very experienced players, I'm not sure.

I'm sorry if I upset anyone, but another way to look at it is "Why is everyone so upset when someone else can just lead. It's not like I'm the only one who CAN lead. I try to talk people into leading all the time, I'll gladly follow and help."

Keep playing Sloth, it is fun and the majority of players are extremely helpful.
