There is an alternate universe in which the next thing that happened was this:
You tell Splork 'hey, any idea if Wu is supposed to be dispelling people now?'

Though in that alternate universe, this crier thread doesn't exist. Also, there are more fluffy bunnies and happy little clouds.

Hm. Afk for a week or so and I seem to miss all the fun.

@Mace: The fluffy bunnies and happy little clouds all seem to be notell. Or invisible.

@Toxis:
Curious though:
"You have ruined it."
"You have driven players and imms away."
"...but you don't realize anything I've tried to say."
"This is your mud..."
"You can make this all about me."

Who's this "you/your" you keep referring to? The admin? The people responding?

How is this mystery "you" making this all about "me"? I see a lot of "I QUIT", "I HATE being dispelled", "I hate you.", "...anything I've tried to say.", &c. I don't really see anyone else making it about yourself aside from yourself: everyone else is simply responding to you. Is this "I" and "you" the same? If "you" is the entire imm staff, didn't you also state that you were a significant part of said staff by being a builder and an immort that was level 45? Or do all these negative things only apply to the rest and exclude yourself. Please help clarify this for me.

So the mob reflected a dispel. I'm curious, did this cf the entire group? Did Wu wipe the group because of this fluke chance occurrence? Was there no chance at recall? Did it break the game? Did the stars fall out of the sky? Or was it just a minor inconvenience/maybe another four, five minutes of regen.

A noshout and a babality. Is this really too extreme? So what would players propose then? What would be considered "fair", or "just"? I am truly curious about this matter.

Imms are here to help sloth. There is nothing to be gained by having imms being at ends with the playerbase. I have no idea where this 'imms are out to get the population' mentality is even coming from. See splork's post really, that sums things up rather succinctly.

Honestly, I almost quit being an imm because I saw and received a high amount of flak from just a small a handful of loud players just because I did things that they didn't like. Fallon changed. Chobbs did it. Chobbs must be trying to destroy the mud. No other explanation. Never mind anything else he's done. Chobbs must be bad because he made one thing harder. Two things? Three? Oh, he must be another evil imm. Or the entire imm staff is corrupt. I happen to like the other imms; they're fun to work with, and I see nothing but their dedication to making sloth better.

Sloth is just a game. Games end. Sometimes folks just move on to other things in life. It's sad when friends go, but I also see that you also continue to make a lot more.

At the risk of being considered part of this "you" that is making this about "me", I will saying please stay. You're an amiable fellow when you're relaxed, so let's aim for more of that shall we?

Chobbs!

Many many people have come and gone from sloth, we lost people over the years like Argent, Blush, Raphael, the pittsburgh crew, the south florida guys, I can go on and on -- its just the nature of it. If you are done and no longer enjoying it, then be done with it. Those of us who are staying really are trying to make it the best place we can -- sometimes change is rough, but sometimes it is needed because in the end the mud will be better off with it. Your opinion is just that, one opinion, and I personally feel like you just have no clue anymore, or Ive lost what you are trying to say with how you've been saying it.

Note to weasel -- whatever your opinion, that kind of personal attack and name calling wont be permitted. If you have a well thought out argument then we can work with that.

Wasp's last logon was Mon Nov 9 21:57:25 2009
[44t 0m 44c 44w 44d 44n 44b 44o 44a] Wasp the Untitled

He is walking areas and helping us with a rather large project that we are working on behind the scenes.

I have no clue regarding Alana, she has been gone for a decade.

Its not so clearly evident(they rarely are when he is intoxicated) but he was referring to me as "you".

Either way, good luck with whatever you choose to do, we are moving forward in a very positive manner.

Yeah Tox is probably in the wrong in this case, and should aplogise, often however he isn't wrong and raises many good and valid points.

All sort of irrelevant now, I am not however liking the look of this thread any more. This has become a lets all gang up on Tox thread. He claimed you were ganging up on him, he was probably wrong to start but this thread has become just that.

Can't we all group hug and move on? I hate to see any player leave, I have a lot of time for Tox and would not like to see him either forced away /backed into a corner / backing himself into a corner where he feels unable to play.

This is a game, its supposed to be fun, lets all have fun together,

I wonder why this is really even an issue. Some people run right on that line between disaster and bigger disaster. Most all of us have become used to brad's tyrades. hell i even enjoy them because it breaks up the monotony of bh xp. if he stays away this time i'll miss that more than the leading. it happens, ya get slapped on the wrist, ya cool down, ya come back. it's the circle of life around here. and that applies to most of the people who got their milestorn eq and left. you push that hard and you tend to get burned out. i couldn't begin to count how many times i've felt that way and taken an extended break. hell i'm doin it right now. it has nothing to do with the gameplay it's just the nature of the beast. personally i think it would be nice if every mob did something random from time to time. i'm not talking about an insta-cf but a nice lil quirk now and then keeps things interesting.

maybe it's just old age and i've mellowed a bit too much. but lets face it, the imms are bending over backwards and making this game way too damned easy. it took the better part of three years on s2 to get a char to 4x40. now we're so spoiled that if we can't get there in two weeks the imms are evil and out to get us. slow down and actually enjoy the game a bit. i laugh everytime that sa has to recall from the vines on the way to mh because he has no idea what the run is if he doesn't use his script. every area on the mud should be randomly teleported once a week. now we're havin some fun. take a day to go to a new area and check the mobs out. instead of trying to make a 5 man group run the same bh mobs, just 1 at a time. find an area actually suited to that group. dark chasm has some amazing xp for a 3-4 man group. but it's not on bh so it must be evil. back in the day i was as hardcore as anyone, only now i wish i took the time to actually get to know some of the people. i didn't forget their names, i never took the time to even learn them. quit worrying about the mobs and take the time to get to know the folks, it's way more fun.

ohh, and the reason why nobody from the old GAIDIN clan (actually it was the hosers clan) makes a fuss is we are all to lazy or too afk to worry about it much. that was a pre-requisite for getting in. not gold, just general apathy.

take off eh,

Baby is 2 and in process of potty training. Rebel, you F'n stupid pothead c-nt, go F yourself. Children normally are potty trained from 2 to 3 years of age. You're probably the dumbest bitch on the planet. If I were your kid, I'd cut my wrists. You stupid F'n COW.

Oh yeah, to reply to that "it doesn't take 2 to change a diaper" it does, however, take one to bot. Which is supposed to be against the rules, so I try very hard to wait till Rogue was at her computer. BLAME THE F'N RULES, you stupid Fcks.

I'm nice enough to lead when no one else will and I am told by Krom that I regen too long because of the baby? When I'm the only healer and it takes me over 10 minutes to regen, mem, and keep my spells up? Damn, I wish I had never let you in my groups, Krom. Go to Reb's house, make luv and smoke some pot together with her kids. Did I not tell you regen is too slow on sloth? Stupid.. stupid people.

I get very defensive when people who don't even know wtf is going on, says I'm not raising my children right.

If I'm a prick for that, then thank god. I would hope any person in the world would feel the same way.

By the way, if you want parenting tips from reb, she smokes pot with her kid.

dear god this thread is ugly now... it reflects badly on us all imms and players alike, the fact that it has spread into at least 2 other threads just makes it worse.

To Tox: Some of the stuff you post here makes me wonder whats going on with you, you've obviously hurting and appear to be lashing out in response. You should know that some of us still like and respect you and remember the much good you've given sloth.

To everyone else: Give the guy a break.

Can't we all just give it a rest now? All of use take chill pills, go kill some kobolds woot over the death of a draconian guard and relax. Solo some, cycle some coins and pull a group together to endlessly cycle MH.

This thread is almost wishing some imm would introduce a huge nerf to the game just so the subject can change.

Farewell...

Postby Toxis » Thu Nov 19, 2009 10:11 pm

Thraxas was right and that I should appologize for a mob that was not changed (which I thought it did). That was the problem. We had hit that mob many times and I had never seen it dispel someone before. And I have to say I hate being dispelled more than anything on sloth with maybe the exception of web lag. I assumed it was just another change of sloth.

I was doing really well until Rogue caught Surfnazi and Ember cheating on sloth and they started rumors about us being the same person and a bunch of other crap making life hard for us. I started getting very upset when I felt I was getting no backup from the imms.

Then Splork comes back handing out eq in quests when we said we would NOT do that again because people get pissed, which I did get pissed to top it off, so I was doubly pissed and decided to just finish area and quit. And then he says he's going to wipe the mud.

Now I could have forgiven him not telling me, except he grants Juggleblood level above me in such a short period after I've done so much work for sloth. AND STILL Splork refuses to give me an imm right after the wipe but Juggs get it? I even offered to help with a lot of rework of Lyme and the rest of the world to which they didn't want any help from me. It reminded me of a really bad time after s2 about me wanting an imm back then but that story is so old I'm not even going to get in to that.

So yes, I hold a big grudge and I was praying it would go away. Unfortunately I'm so mad over so many things I'm not even going to post here, I feel there's only one thing for me to do. I'm filled with so much hate and anger for this mud that it just explodes from me anymore. It's better I just leave, make everyone happy. I just hope people appreciated my leading.

Oh yeah, Krom... just so you know I was the one talking Sa to come back to sloth and play. I was the one trying to tell him not to quit, but keep playing and "things might get better". I didn't tell Josh to quit. I tried to get him to keep playing. He's the one who kept telling me on instant messenger if I quit he was going to quit. I've even tried to convince him to at least get 6x40 and then if he still wants to quit. I'd just like to put that on the record.

Enough is enough. I handed out quest eq on the last day of sloth3, get over it( it was entirely meaningless since the mud was wiped within 24 hours).

I did not want your help regarding this version of sloth and if you would like I will gladly share with everyone the email I sent you regarding that decision. This is exactly why and its pretty apparent the majority of the player base now understands the decisions I have been making regarding you.

This is now locked and put away to pasture.

Its time for Brad to move on and SlothMUD will move forward as well.
