I've always tried to be nice to everyone, and I do an awesome job at it. My own mother told me yesterday I have the patience of a saint. That's mostly a reference to a week full of family problems and hospitalizations.
So I MUD to get away from it all, and today on the MUD I got enraged at someone for the first time in about ten years. I know some people get angry all the time, but it's a new experience for me, and I hate it.
Godmode was totally within his rights to lock his group, despite the name "Godmode is leading 'AH EXP JUST FOLLOW UP' on Thule:"
He, just like anyone in a game, is equally within his rights to completely ignore me and not respond to tells.
I am very sorry to everyone involved for getting so upset that I faerie fired him, to the detriment of all of you. Yes, he also even had a legitimate reason for not wanting me in the group. Once when he brought his group from BH to AH and invaded the area I was cycling with my own group, I recalled him without warning or even asking him to leave. There were no fatalities, but his group was certainly disrupted a bit. (I gather he's also upset that with my 3 thief levels, I once failed to steal from a mob our group was fighting.)
But.. not even groups have claim to areas. By the rules his group which came to the area I was running had claim to the mobs in whatever room they were standing in, just like we had claim to mobs in the room we were standing in.
In every case, I've been the one in the wrong.. so I don't even have the right to be upset. I'm sick of myself and how I acted, and in the future I'll treat the game more like real life -- and treat you all like I treat human beings rather than fantasy characters.
