I was under that assumption when, a few days ago i was at BH in and stella comes and glances at me hoping i wouldnt notice, then dissapears. Finally track him/her down in the scribe look at him/her, seeing all newbie eq i ask if he/she's pthiveing or what. He/she shrugs and says they are working out eq. Doesnt matter to me.

Good job fellow DoW members. Im really proud of you guys. You would probably sell your soul for a ham sandwich. Maybe I should sell Medios so Poolp can have a bigger char.

I doubt this is true, but a little birdie told me that our current batch of pthieves has a connection to another Mud. The bird said the current attempts to drive off players from our game is another mud's idea of humor.

Like I said, I doubt it, but then someone stole my parnoia pills, so I can't really say for sure.

I do know that our current "mud connector" review no longer fits. I understand the new version will talk about "problems and complaints" and not our friendly atmosphere.

If there is something I could do to "save the mud", I'd do it. Hmm, new t-shirt idea, "Save Sloth! Ban a Pthief".

Something needs to be done when an imm can't run a fishing quest.

If you're willing to let it go at a cheap price I'll do it. Another thing I find funny is how you can blame them for selling me the char when it was just a coincidence that they gave me the best offers.

Plenty of other people were offering me characters as well, just that others were more expensive.

BTW what's up with you lately? You talked bad about a friend on the crier, now you publically defame your own clan?

I'm glad you doubt it because that sounds really dumb. I've been a pthief for the past 4 years or so and I can honestly tell you I pthief for:
1. fun
2. another source of gold

I really doubt a player or immort from another MUD would be so devoted to come in here and level a pthief/get the money to buy one just to drive players out of Sloth.

An imm can run a fishing quest. I think it would just make a lot more sense for the player to know he/she is going to be in a town for a very long time and to put away anything of value to you, even a golden sack with almost nothing in it. If you already know about the existence of pthieves, why not do something about it?

~

Generally, I'd like to say if anyone in the MUD can't stand pthieves being around, there are only so few logical options.

1. Continue playing but whine about it/ask for something to be done.
2. Continue playing and accept it.
3. Leave.

No, 4. is not Blame other people for selling chars to pthieves just because you need somewhere to channel your anger or whatever it is you have in you. But if it makes you better I'll buy more chars from people from different clans.

So nothing. Congratulations by the way. Start a pool on when you'll go back to smoking? I've got 6 decanters on 1-2 months.

I took Zyban to quit. (buprion hydrchloride) It was really strange becuz I had absolutely no desire to smoke. But apparently smoking isn't the only addiction it works on. It also made me mud less and I found myself picking up after myself more and being more productive all around. When I quit taking it, I didn't return to smoking, but I did return to being a mud-addicted slob.

Good luck whichever route you go. There's plenty of honorable ways to die, but lung cancer just ain't one of em.

Just the thought of quitting smoking is scary to me. Lat time I tried, I was meaner and worse than all the horror stories you could think to tell about Auto, 13, and Gimlet combined.
That which does not kill you makes you crazier.

I quit smoking cigarettes, but I doubt I could quit one without the other without a lot of bloodshed and some seriously hurt feelings.
