Wizard Chess

What do you guys think of this idea for wizard chess.

Make an area that is a basically a large squarish arena with a base on either side for playing capture the flag.

Two different immorts compete against one another. They choose an equal number of mortals who are their pieces. They can tell their mortals what they want them to do, give them info about the location of the enemy, occasionally force their own players to take some action if need be.

The board would have dynamic squares that occasionally pop aggro mobs with useful items on them. Some possible things could be a super stabber or a dispel grenades or something. Take a dispel grenade, throw it at players in the enemy base and launch an attack.

If the game starts to take too long cuz the players are defending their flag instead of attacking there could be waves of nasty aggros or random dispel blasts.

Anyway thats the basic concept. What do yall think? It could also be fun for clan for clan games or something.
