Deaths just don't mean as much to Aaron. He does have a point though... you should leave the high risk kills for when you have more backup. Generally the folks on Sloth are cool enough that if you don't have any, you can scrounge some up somewhere. ie. channels, asking for icq numbers, etc.

heh, I find little to be proud of in needless death - life is about how you live, not how you die, imho. I guess I'd make a really bad suicide bomber.

Seriously, if nobody is on my ICQ and/or I forget to join a channel and/or everyone in the channel or ICQ is afk (which happens often), I'm not going to just sit there and wait for my char to corpse - if I wanted to do that I'd just go flail the local Innkeeper - no sir, I'm going to try to get help any legal way I can, and if that means posting on the forums for a raise (admittedly as a last resort), then I'll do it, and I will continue to do so as a last resort. So there.

A couple of us saved someone just recently purely as a result of their posting on this forum, so it CAN actually work, and as long as that chance exists, I'm not going to throw away 100mil+ exp points (and possibly a lot more than that if I lose a level) out of 'pride' - I see no need to shoot myself in the foot when I'm already dead and about to corpse.

Good on you if that is how you wish to play though - I'm not going to fault you for it, however I choose a different path, and the choice is mine to make, not anybody elses, just as your choice is yours.
