To address some issues of autoquest bugs, I'm spreading out some of the autoquests from some of the quester mobs. This, along with a code change implemented by Breeze should resolve the issues players have been having whereby the mob won't accept the required item.
The quests will be redistributed onto new or existing mobs on the basis of prerequisite level. The first such change is that there is now a mob in the adventurers guild of Bal Harbor named Hawthorn where the level 3 Bal Harbor autoquests have been relocated to.
This will be an incremental process. So I'll post progress here so you can be aware and give newbies correct information about the autos. This really only affects the low level town questers with many quests like Regis, Forsythe, Helgar, and Erdogan. Shelda and the pet merchant in VK should work fine as is.
In related news, corpses and subdued mobs are now non-rentable meaning that if you rent or void-disconnect they will fall to the ground wherever you departed from. This will prevent their values from being lost for the purposes of quests. Also just be aware that reboots also affect corpses and subdueds even in your inventory. So when you get a corpse or subdued mobile for an autoquest, you should try to turn it in right away, lest you get the dreaded message "I don't want that."
