Returns the character's position, that is, whether he's resting, dead, stunned, sleeping, fighting, etc. The position is returned as a string which is one of 'Dead', 'Mortally wounded', 'Incapacitated', 'Stunned', 'Sleeping', 'Resting', 'Sitting', 'Crawling' (which isn't used), 'Fighting', or 'Standing'.
