commands your character may use at its current level. SEPTEMBER 4 I have added three regen

days each month, they will be on the 4th ,13th, and 24th. I have also added a third day to mob

eqpop days. Those days are now on 7th, 14th, and 21st. SEPTEMBER 1 Players should notice that the

lag we have experienced over the course of the last 4-5 years has been solved and removed as of

today's reboot. The lag centered around a function that one of our former coders added and has since

been fixed. AUGUST 21 We have come to agreement regarding bashes reaching players in the back row

such as bash. On reboot, hopefully this will no longer occur and any bash targeted to a back row

player will be intercepted by a front row player. Also, in regards to Dragoth's last posting, mob

saves have been lowered. This should help with prepping mobs. AUGUST 15 1) Song of the Mist "SONG OF

an innate skill. Once this skill is learned, the bard prime has the keen ability to escape a

creature's killing blow by simply calling forth the song of their predecessor's called Dance with

the Dead. This song bursts through the heavens and rains down upon the lonely bard causing him to

dance away from the mortal blow. AUGUST 10 Starting at 4x40, a player can level the avatar class.

Every 40th in a class there after gains an additional 5 possible avatar levels. Levels Avatar

levels that you can level 4x40 1-5 5x40 6-10 6x40 11-15 7x40 16-20 8x40 20-40 AUGUST 8 Due to

having max stats to 25 now, we started this version of Sloth with a few points of Constitution which

had the same hitpoint bonus as the stat before it. Constitution points of 11-13 were the same

bonus, 14-15 were the same, and 16-17 gave the same bonus. Now, every point of Con gives you a

bonus, starting at 12. Each point raises by .5 and maxes out at a bonus of 7.5 at 25 Con. AUGUST

1 All ingame pop rates have been increased 10%. Eq pop days will add another 10% on top of

that. JULY 24 The code we started this version of sloth had a 7% chance for everyone to lose

level, a 30% loss for exp upon death, and a 30 million exp cap on death at triple 40( from there

every quad level added 2 mil exp loss to the cap, and every avatar level added 1 more mil for what

could of been a total of 150) We have tinkered with it several times and it is now on a sliding

scale. Ive lowered everything quite a bit more and this is probably close to the final change on

this topic. As it stands now exp loss, cap, and chance of level loss goes by total levels of a

character. Here is the current code for death, level loss, and exp losses and caps. Total

8 Adding avatar levels adds 2 mil exp per level to the exp loss cap. Overall, chance of

level loss has been drastically reduced except for a player of max level. Percentage of exp has

been reduced drastically but catches up to the old percentage at 260 total levels, from there it

increases up to 3 more percentage points. However, the caps are quite a bit smaller at the higher

levels which should offset the 3% increase by quite a bit. Exp loss caps are much, much smaller

than before. Hope this helps, it is a ton better than our old version was where everything was a

flat 30% exp loss and 7% chance of level loss. JULY 23 1) 12-18 strengths can now carry more weight

per str point 2) Number of items a player can carry has been increased from 150 to 175. However,

you may still only rent with the same number of items. 3) atonement: Ive reduced the wait time

between castings of this spell by 2/3rds. Hopefully this will allow a little more leeway when it

comes to dealings with your alignment. JULY 22 "CIRCLE OF HEALING" Usage: cast 'circle of

- Stratum: healing Spellbook: ancient tome of mass heal Prerequisite: - See Also: HEAL RESTORATION

GREATER HEAL This spell can heal everybody in a group, as long as they are in the same room as the

caster. The healing power increases with the total levels of the character in question. In essence,

the spell's power grows as the player grows. help natures upheaval "NATURES UPHEAVAL" Usage:

cast 'natures upheavel' Cost: 65 mana Level: Druid 40 Duration: - Accumulative: - Save Versus:

- Damage Type: - Stratum: Summoning Spellbook: an earth toned spellbook Prerequisite: - See Also:

DEVAK MANTRA LODGE PENDULUM See Also: STRATA SIDHE CHARMS PERISTRATA This spell causes the earth's

crust to shake uncontrollably until it spits the the Devak right out of the ground. This spell can

only be cast upon a totem that has been placed there by the caster. Attempting to remove another

person's devak can be extremely dangerous and should be done at one's own risk. Let it be known,

devaks are controlled by the stratum of which they are named for. Due to the inconsistencies of such

magic, devaks are known to crumble and disappear after a certain duration. Smart magicians have been

known to lodge and cast this spell several times a day to prevent the loss of their

ever-so-valuable devak. Devaks are lodged deep into the earth's crust to create a magical

tie between one of the seven strata. Once an area has been affected by this item, all magic of this

particular stratum cast within the entire area is affected one way or the other. The length of

affects felt from the devak are dependant upon the character's total levels. As the player grows, so

does the strength of his devak. Please refer to help lodge, help devak, and help mantra for more

information regarding these changes. JULY 18 All regens(move, hitpoint, and mana)will be increased

on the next reboot or crash. Increases are as follows 1x40 1 2x40 1 3x40 1 4x40 1 These next

ones are already coded and have been ingame since the beginning of our restart 20 5th 1 20 6th 1 20

well. 1)Chobbs found an exp bug that was affecting most higher level mobs. On reboot players

should notice the change. 2) front to back ratio is now 1:1 for groups with more than 5 players.

For groups with below 5 it remains the same at 2:1(which there was a bug preventing this from

working which has been fixed) JULY 14, 2009 1) Warriors will now get innate AC. If a player

levels up to 40 prime and has heavy armor proficiency learned, they will get up to -.3 AC. 2)

Warrior innate damage has been increased. 3) Riposte has been moved to level 40 warrior. You can

learn this skill to 25% at single forty, 50% at double 40, and max at triple 40. 4)Bodyslam has

been fixed, the strength needed to use the maneuver was based on our old strength charts. JULY

2 Clan bank statements are ingame on reboot. Clan statement will give you the results of all

transactions made inside of this account. Clans are now ingame. Please visit the clan guildmaster

who is up from the dream weaver. Clans will have access to their very own recall spots on Lyme,

Thule, Settlestone, and Thordfalan. Help clan and help clan commands have been

updated. Additions 1) clan banking accounts, help clan bank 2) two new clan ranks, general and

treasurer, help clan and clan commands for more info Clan costs: 5 million coins to purchase a

clan name. 750k coins will be directly deposted into your clan bank account from this fee. 500k

21st. 6) Cry of the avatar damage has been increased 7) Seven luck has been increased( the chance of

seven has always been directly dependent upon a players total levels, I can say that this song is

twice as effective now than it was in our last version) JUNE 29, 2009 I've just finished and

committed the majority of the code needed for the tailoring of equipment and weapons. A basic

summary of the idea is this: 1) You gather five of the same gemstones. 2) You sing the song "call of

the cuillen" <rune stone name> 3) If all goes well, the sidhe leave you with the runestone 4)

You may then socket the rune stone into the armor or weapon that it is meant for. Atm, we are only

allowing certain rune stones to be placed into certain wear locations. This idea has been coded to

fit our game but the basic system is based off of Diablo 2 rune and sockets. I have never played the

game myself but the idea was given to me by a couple players who had. I believe this will add a

ton of fun to our game while allowing our players the ability to tailor their eq to their play

style. The choices for each locations are tough ones, designed to really make you think about how

you want to play your character. New help files: Help socket help rune help gems help call of the

cuillen A player will gain additional base attacks(hitroll) based on their secondary

class. The bonuses given from best to worst are as follows (this is the same as primary attack

bonus rank): 1) Warrior 2) Monk, Thief, Bard, Cleric 3) Druid, Necro, Mage JUNE 26 1) All spells

had a roll of 101 roll for lost concentration. I have changed it to a flat 100. This means there

should be quite a bit less lost concentration over the course of a day. 2) Pretty sure Ive fixed the

bug allowing 1% chance of spell disruption if a player learned battle focus to 85%. It should have 0

chance if the skill is fully learned now. 3) Heightened spells also used a roll of 101 which Ive

changed to 100. This means everyone has a better chance for masterful castings. 4) Front row lost

concentration of touching spells has been cut in half. 5) Diseases no longer affect lost

concentration at all. Hopefully, players will not really catch any in the first place since Ive

lowered the chances drastically and removed quite a few from ingame anyways. 6) masterful locate

object has been drastically increased. JUNE 24 1) Spell Disruption should be 0 if you have learned

battle focus. (so it has basically been removed if learned) 2) Mob hitrolls have been reduced across

the board, they should miss more now. 3) Lyme is now open to everyone. 4) Exp calculator has given

back some exp for high damage low hitpoint mobs. JUNE 6 holy ring 1 max int, 20 mana holy

halo -1.2 ac 1 con 1 max str holy symbol 15 mana, 1 mr, 1 max wis JUNE 1, 2009 1) locate object

now has a 20% chance to give you better locate 2) masterful locate has been increased 10% 3) shield

of faith increased from 2 to 3 tics 4) Boats from AH and BH have been added heading to Lyme MAY

that it was not working and it was because it was only counting full points of ac. This is now fixed

on reboot and each max dex will work as -.5 ac. 2) Im beginning to work on the avatar code and

found out that everytime a person leveled avatar class, they were given TWO levels! This is

now fixed. I think, for the most part, we are set ingame with classes and such. Im going to start

working on avatar class and when it can be leveled next. I think we are going to go with momma's

suggestion that once you get 6x40, the first 5 avatar levels will open up. At 7x40, the next 5 open

up. And at 8x40 the remaining avatar levels are there for your taking. Ive been getting a lot of

questions on max stats. Here is a small chart that shows when each of your stats can be taken

higher. Remember, you need to use max_stat eq to do this. level Class Stat ordering 40 prime 19,

spells while playing his instrument non-stop. While he was tempted to keep this secret to himself,

he has decided to share it with other bard pupils. Adaptation to circumstances has always been the

their instrumental playstyle and incorporate their ability to cast at the very same time. MAY

DEATH While Bekorath the necromancer was young he was quite vigorous and expounded the unusual

belief amongst his friends of self preservation. One of the techniques he used was to commune with

Death himself; this was done via an enchantment he devised called "corpus severance" which meant

that at the moment of death, Death himself would notify you of your friends demise. OCTOBER 2,

2008 Some of you may have noticed it, but backstab got reworked so that in factors in 2 things

better: 1) Hitroll of the thief making the stab: previously this affected the stab, but was

inadverty capped at around 15. Now hitrolls of any number (the higher the better) will impact the

chance of landing the backstab. 2) Target's armor class: This also plays a factor now, so mobs

with lower armor classes will be harder to hit. The numbers are still being tweaked a bit, so

1. druid communication bug - whereby when player shifted, there name would always appear as Someone

(seperate bug) 3. light bug, whereby on returning from shift the room became dark 4. hp bug,

whereby shifting to a much larger form when injured then returning would heal you 5. seadragon

can breath underwater 6. cobra can climb properly 7. eudaemon healing bug (to be honest when I

came to test this it was working so it could have been a consequence of something else I

changed *bonus pat on back* or someone else fixed it already *clap*) 8. supplication works if you

shift after saccing 9. a lot more commands accessible whilst shifted (skills only when

appropriate) 10. drachma tokens are pick-upable 11. shifted "score" you can see the bits based

upon your levels 12. shifted "practice" shows you available skills 13. shifted age/youth potions

didn't work 14. ...a huge bunch of other bits that'll make druids more stable Also there are a

number of enhancements: 1. some forms can eat and drink directly from the floor 2. gorge added

to some forms, although the lower forms know it only as a low % 3. hp/damage bonus based upon

druid class order and levels 4. You can rent in form, although when logging back on you will be

your title by simply inserting %s where you want it to appear, if your symbol is coloured then your

safe ignoring it. It's so slothy! NOVEMBER 9 1) The postmaster will now only keep items for

fifteen days, then the items will go into the unclaimed bin. From here, anyone can buy them simply

by paying the shipping charges (and maybe some others). Items will remain in the unclaimed bin for

five days only and then be discarded by the postmaster. NOVEMBER 9 1) Playerstats are

up-to-date. 2) Items flagged vault key can now be placed inside keychains. 3) Players can no longer

ship food and other silly items (atleast that I feel are silly). NOVEMBER 3 I have heard rumors

that a new spell called 'hermetic resonance' has been spotted in the wild. I don't know much about

it myself, but I thought you might be interested. - the Archmage Addendum: Acrocanthus (my

have added MCCP and MXP support. MCCP When you connect to a world that supports MCCP, text

sent from the world to you will be compressed, so in theory it should show up faster and use less

bandwidth. Note that data you send to the world and any images or sounds the world provides are not

compressed. MXP Traditionally, MUDs have used raw Telnet. MUD sessions have been enhanced using

standard terminal protocols, such as ANSI and VT100 to add color and cursor control. However, there

is no higher-level command protocol used by MUDs to enhance the game session. The MUD eXtension

Protocol (MXP) attempts to fill this gap by providing a markup language based loosely upon HTML and

XML that allows better communication between the MUD Server and Client. MCCP is invisible to the

users, although many of our players will notice a considerably quicker link. MXP needs to be

toggled on by typing mxp, hoever, there is not much use of it atm ingame, just the core code has

clans... AUGUEST 14 1) There is a new thief (and bard) skill, 'disarm traps'. Henceforth some

mobs (the smarter ones) may store their treasure in closed chests, drawers, etc., and these may be

locked and/or trapped. (As of this writing there aren't any of these traps in-game, but there will

be). You can either find and disarm these traps, or just set them off. See 'help search' and 'help

apprentice Blodniak recently contacted me from beyond the veil, and told me he had (finally)

completed his task Over There. I had sent him there to find the post-mortal animus of the

previous Master of this Guild, with the aim of tracking down a spell he had reputedly hidden

somewhere on the premises. Blodniak revealed, through the medium of the entrails of a ferret, that

it was in the guild library but mis-filed under "Ethics of Necromancy", a section where it was sure

to be safe from accidental discovery. The spell is 'speak with dead'; it allows any modestly

talented necromancer to talk directly to those who have Crossed Over, forgoing the

6 1) After today your letters of introduction will no longer work (once you rent or otherwise

d/c). The Dreamweaver has decided to keep a ledger with members contained inside. To update your

membership he requests that you give him your old letter so that he can update his ledger. If you

are new, and have not yet recieved a letter, you can still pay 30 drachma to the Dreamweaver to

obtain a valid membership. See the ledger in the Dreamweaver's shop for more information. With

this new method of keeping track of members, the Dreamweaver has agreed to once again sell octagonal

there is a new function to compliment the other useful group functions: This is far from a

comprehensive description of grouping, but rather a swift reminder of grouping

functions. *NEW*Autogroup*NEW* - this is a toggled option, you can see the current value by using

the Settings command. When you have the option on and follow a new leader then you will

automatically group ones self. This option will be switched on for newly created characters. Group

[player] - This function allows the leader to bring a player into the fold, if they have previously

followed, but were not in the goup. Or it allows you to group oneself prior to following a leader,

saving tiring leaders fingers (of course using autogroup makes it even easier). Ungroup [player] -

Allows the leader to throw an unwanted player out of a group. Gmove [playerA] [playerB] - Allows

the leader to order the players in the group in a manner that suits them. Point - The player in

point poisition will enter a room first, even before the leader. Protect [player] - Someone who

choses to protect another player will deflect damage away from this player. Glock - A leader may

Lock their group preventing new followers from joining. Gunlock - A leader may also unlock a

previously locked group, to allow new players to join. Follow [leader] - If you follow a new

leader, then this player can drag you from room to room. Tail [player] - This is the sneaky

version of follow, typically used by pthieves. Refollow - This command will move you from your

position in the grup list, all the way to the back, generally don't use it unless you want a thick

ear or your leader asks you to. Pthieves - remember to switch this option off if you do not

wish to autogroup when following a leader, tail will not cause you to autogroup. Always remember

it's generally polite to ask whether you may join a group, before following the leader. JUNE 4 I

heard this when talking with the Master thief Boda about her guild. Rumor has it that guilds on

other continents are also going to band together in this way at some point. Here's the

deal.... The Valkyre Thieves' Guild has gone through a great effort of collecting information from

its members so that they can all benefit. For now, we cataloged the myriad of keys our members have

constable of the city of Valkyre that the evil gang that now roams our city streets has constructed

a new hideout. This hide is hidden somewhere near the town park. If you find it, please do your

best to help remove the terrible presence of this gang. I also understand that there is a magical

treasure chest somewhere in the hideout that can have a varying supply of looted stash. Check the

chest often if you come across such a thing. MAY 23 1) Changed offer command, so now it show the

now use class, then strata, then unlearned, then skill/spell name. So, now prac ma will show mage

too, before it wasnt. 4) On my recent journey to the Evening Lands, I heard a simplified version of

the old standard 'Gods of War'. They were using it in a musical theatre production! Anyway, I've

written it down - it should be available in the guilds at some point. It's called the

the last batch a bit: 2) Necromancers will now have their alignments drop slowly whenever they are

9 1) After tonight's reboot, a player will need to use 'query' instead of 'ask' for our shopkeepers

when attempting to inquire about an items stats. This includes the drachma shops as well. Ive made

this change so that we no longer have to worry about combining our questers and shopkeepers like we

had previously had to. query <keepername> about <objname> MAY 7 1) Added parameters

to the skills command. Not really useful, since we dont have that many skills per class, done mainly

to have consistency between spells and skills commands. Thanks to Taliesin for the idea. MAY 6 1)

Added a new parameter to the prac command. prac <spell/skill/song-name> shows the line that

correspond to that spell/skill/song. Useful to quick check while being spammed in battle. 2) You can

check spells/skills/songs that you can know or can know, according to classorder and levels, like

the result of the prac <no-argument> command 3) Changed a bit the way friendly bard songs act

when bard is grouped. Now they always affect bard first, then others till max. 4) Shop keepers will

now identify items for our lower level players. Once these players have saved up enough gold to

afford such items as identifies, the keeper will insist that they use them instead of freely giving

the information... They can do this by: ask <keepername> id <itemname> 5) Gmove has been

slightly enhanced to include the names of the players involved. Hopefully this will help in your

attempts to maintain a solid protect chain. 6) Any avatar thieves may want to check their skill

lists. There might be something new there. 'nuff said. - Y. K. W. MAY 1 1) Lyme mayor reworked,

all spells are now set to character and not their avatar light 2) God you worship now show in

score. 3) Added a few more weapon types to both deathblow and sharpen. 4) Added a new parameter to

the practice command. "prac unlearned" shows all spells and skills that you dont have fully learned

: either 0% or 84% or whatever. Works for your not avatar classes, avatars should know what they

have unlearned. APRIL 29 1) First, the bug where you can't reply to a reply is fixed. Replies

should also show up on replay. 2) Second, reply now works either the old way or the new way. If

the first word of your reply matches or partially matches the name of someone who has told you

recently, then the remainder of the reply will go to him. If it doesn't, then the whole reply will

go to the most recent person who told you. See the help for examples. APRIL 1 1) New necro spell

Simulacrum-please refer to the ingame help file 2) Finished a project Ill call war games for now.

gain a small % of xp on successful raises. 2) There are now guilds on the continent of Lyme and a

player can apply for citizenship there. 3) Being affected by arms of the abyss and web will now show

up in score... MARCH 18 1) New spell called Hedge maze. 2) New spell called Succor. Help file to

come eventually:-) 3) New thief avatar skill called Crippling Strike. Please refer to the

helpfiles for more information. Also, a druid's 'sniff' command was enhanced quite a bit. Check it

out, it yields some rather amusing information and is also the beginning of some very fun additions

that should follow within the next couple of months. MARCH 11 1) The bard prime avatar instruments

have been fixed so that those who do not meet these requirements can no longer use

them. 2) Obviously it took us awhile to notice the error and we apologize for any problems it is

going to cause. However, these instruments were never meant to be held by a prime 40 bard without

the appropriate Avatar levels. We will work on creating some instruments for > then 40 prime

bards to Avatar 1 prime bards in a small attempt to make things right. MARCH 8 1) To show you how

pleased we are with the progess your characters are making, your god will now restore your character

with each level gained. 2) The reroll each character gets at level 8 will now use an octagonal

token rather than the hexagonal. Hopefully, this will severly lower the chance of getting

'unplayable' stats when one reaches this level. FEBRUARY 26 1) Leaders will now see when their

followers stop following them or start to follow them regardless if they are awake or asleep. They

will also notice someone attempting to follow thier locked groups. This includes a player's summons,

animates, etc. However, there will be no notice if someone attempts to tail them. 2) A small change

with our jujus, they now change short and long descriptions when a player gets a larger juju.

Remember, the juju always increases hit points as the playe levels. However, periodically throughout

a players growth, their juju grows in hps, mana, damage, etc. The new titles will show when this

occurs FEBRUARY 25 1) The spells passage and lloyds beacon can now be used in tandem. 2) A player

can now use practice or practise inside the guilds to see what spells or skills they have

learned. 3) Kill all will no longer hit followers. FEBRUARY 9 1) We have made it so that players

below the level of 10 will not disengage a mob when they are incapped, stunned, or mortally wounded.

We did this because the majority, if not all, of the new players we are getting hated typing kill

<mobname) 100 times to kill a mob. We cut it off at level 10 so that you guys can still mort

for one another. FEBRUARY 3 1) Group (3 or more players) exp has been increased significantly.

This includes an increase in both leader and point exp. This is the first step of several we plan on

taking in an attempt to draw more groups. 2) Players can now abbreviate the names of mobs and

players that are in the same room with them instead of being forced to type the entire

thing. Example: Before- Look sash Now- look sa or lo sa JANUARY 28 1) Trig traps will now affect

the druid forms. This means you can recall in form at the guilds, take damage from falling boulders,

etc. 2) The cmd skills will no longer stop you from your studying. 3) Messages added to depositing

and withdrawing items from ur vaults instead of the old OK. 4) And our infamous new dynamic world

map. JANUARY 26 1) Practice and practise no longer stop your studying. Replay and reply were

changed also last week. 2) Newbies now will log in with torches in their inventories. 3) Toss can

now throw any level mob, however you can not throw players under a certain level still:-) JANUARY

23 1) Changed waterwalk and slowfall to be innate since I had yet see a monk who knew he was going

to fall accidently and toggle it on.
