Ah yes, but that bailout vote was pushed by the Democrats through the House of Representatives and Senate - Bush does not just decide to make this stuff up and declare it law, all he does is sign it at the end once Congress have voted on it and decided it should be done. Congress (House and Senate) majority is Democrats, which is what Obama is. It was due to the 'no' votes from Republicans that the first bill didn't make it through.
Again, I'm not a McCain fan, but Obama is way worse, and Obama himself claimed he was integral to making the bailout bill happen.
In short, your argument that government is already socialist actually supports what I am saying, so cheers.
