That is a strange one for sure

One reason why people join channels (the custom ones, help channels) is that if you get killed/morted/whatever and you kill your connection (from your client, not with quit), the other people in the channel can see it, and they will usually check on your health.

If I were to guess, you were hungry and thirsty. Both cut your regen rates. Normally, it would be possible to heal from 0 to 1. This doesn't happen often, but can be rather annoying when it does. Sorry.
