Awaken spell bugged

Druid Level Plant Notes
----------- ----- -----
10 young treant rooted
20 tangle vines grapples
30 violet fungus rooted, poisonous
40 shambling mound immune to elec/cold, resists fire
3x40 slime mold --
4x40/25 elder ent rooted

Multiple 40s in level are "counted from" the position of druid class
in the caster's classo. So, for example, a Ne/Dr/Ma/Cl would be able
to awaken slime molds at 4x40 and elder ents never.



I was able to summon 2 shambling mound at 1x40. I still able to summon only 2 at 3x40.
cast 'awaken' shambling mound
Ok.
You wouldn't be able to control it...


And i cant summon slime molds at 3x40

cast 'awaken' slime mold
Ok.
You aren't powerful enough to awaken that kind of plant ... yet.


Not to mention, that spell dont fit well 8 class system, since it ends on 4x40.

Suggest you give this one up, been on it for years. And believe me... YOU DON'T REALLY want to awaken them any way.

No really, I do prefer druid pets to necro/cleric ones, mostly for convenience on long easy runs.

Please please let us druid types have our inferior pets! Short of eliminating lost concentration on battleshift, this is the fix I'm most anticipating.

The lack of changes to the help file point to our lack of slime mold as being a bug and not intentional, which is somewhat of a relief.

Info for whoever is working on this:

At 6x40.25 a druid was finally able to summon a single slime mold (but not two), while a 4x40.25 couldn't get any. That makes me think that a pet points change is probably what broke the mold.

I'd like to see one slime/one mound at 3x40, two slimes at 4x40, and three slimes at 6x40. I'd be happy enough with two and a big supplicant which is what we had available on s3.

I know I've got necro levels and could use dark arts to conjure up abominations to serve me better.. but that's really not my character concept is about. Weaker, non-abominations are perfect for me :)

Remember the days of non scaling nercro pets and druid's ability to order them around while shapeshifted ? I think those days are long gone for a reason, the same reason that you druids have crappy awakened creatures now i think.

If you read carefully you'll see that we aren't complaining about "crappy awakened creatures", we aren't asking for buffs to "crappy awakened creatures", and are in fact begging for said creatures to be put back in-game as they were before they got hit with a bug that made them un-summonable.

Some spells got left behind and forgotten during the restart and this was one of them.
1) Slime molds can now be summoned at 3x40 for a druid prime
2) Ants can be summoned at 6x40

Pet weight on mold returned to S3 weight.

Changes in on reboot,

We are looking into the lost concentration on battleshift now.

Thanks! It's elder ent at 6x40, in case anyone got excited about 'Ants', although a small army of ants would make cool summon... *ponder ponder*

'help awaken creatures' has been updated.
