Item Vanished

Postby *juggleblood* » Wed Feb 22, 2006 9:55 pm

I logged on as Rumsfeld, I owed the inkeeper a couple thousand coins. I went out and made about 7 thousand. I got distracted and neglected to type receive before I rented again about 15 minutes later and logged in with my other char Rub. I was then playing all night as Rub. I never saw the innkeeper put the item up for sale, nor do I think it should have. I asked other players if they saw it up for sale and they said no. But when I logged in again with Rumsfeld it had vanished. The item is cobalt armor, which I can't even wear yet, but its an expensive stab item that someone gave to me. If there's anyway to confirm the logs and restore my item, I would greatly appreciate it. I first logged in with Rumsfeld on Feb 25th around 9pm GMT +3.

In the name of the merciful and benevolent Gods of Sloth we pray.

Amen.

Well ... if u don't pay the innkeeper ur rent money, he/she will keep ur eq.
Once u rent, the innkeeper keeps it and u won't ever get it back.

Not sure if the Immorts will make a change were u can buy an item back
after renting.

Innkeeper

I mentioned online, but I believe the item goes from the innkeeper to the auction house when it's unclaimed.

Are you being serious Auto?

I was on in alt form and didn't see the inkeeper put it up for auction. Doesn't innkeeper usually make an announcement?

If Aife does have, I can ask to buy back.

Two things:

1) Charles is about as straight arrow as they come.
2) Auto is almost never serious. Even when he thinks he is.

Charles is probably one of the must trustworthy people you will ever meet, on sloth or real life.. I have known him for almost 15 years.. And the only stupid thing he has ever done, was introduce me to slothmud... and you should all thank his for it

P.S. if you ever take me serious, your have more problems then just missing eq..

I believe what charles was saying is that the item gets transfered to the Auction store, not the innkeeper auctions the item. So your item would have ended up in the store if you had rented in this situation. Also, that item isn't so cute, if you need help getting another one just ask me.

I believe it was Colonel Mustard in the Observatory with the knife. That Colonel Mustard is a real sunovabitch.
