Found a minor one, druid related

Postby Taki » Tue Jun 14, 2005 4:17 am

Ok, this is not really annoying, but does not fit in the 'usual flow' of the mudplay behaviour.

If i start killing in a new visited area while shapeshifted, i won't have the extra xp for the 'first kill' in area. I will, nonetheless, get the extra xp for my first kill if I kill in normal form, even if i cycled that area several times while shapeshifted.

I guess this could be fixed, just for 'making sense' ;)

Thanks for mentioning this one Taki. I've also been attempting to report bugs when I find them, but I forgot all about this one.

This is fixed, will go in next crash or reboot.

Also in next crash or reboot, I have changed it so that to switch gods, you must type "sacrifice!" rather than just "sac" to prevent accidents. (Also as per player suggestion).

??? Was this suggestion off a newbie ???

Cause I can see this being more of a pain then a "convenience".

I'd say this is a huge convenience. There being two temples in Newbatia area it would be easy to swap gods accidentally. It even happened to me once. Its not like it would be hard to get another corpse if you meant to switch and forgot to use the ! the first time. Then again, I would probably still be considered one of those "newbies".

Wouldn't be so bad if your sac points transferred, but a recent change ensures this doesn't happen I believe (I had assumed they never transferred anyway.. why would a god accept sacrifices made to another god?) so yeah, in the case of newbies - who use holy eq more than anyone else - this was possibly quite an issue I would think. Certainly more convenient than carve corpse, get corpse, more 1 room away, drop corpse, sac corpse.. or accidentally change gods and lose all your sac points..

It's for the reason Nothing said. And, you don't waste the corpse if you type "sac" in a foreign temple, it just doesn't do anything, tells you to use "sacrifice!", and warns you about losing your sac points if you do.

And don't mind Leaf, he never has anything nice to say.

My bad I thought I read it as "sac" now needs to typed out for every corpse.
But it does make sense incase u want to switch Gods.

KJ, I've said great things about Sloth about 4-5 months ago before all
these wacked out changes. (Voted every day, and I believe at that time
we also hit +50 EVERYDAY. Now we get LUCKY to even hit +40. We r
losing alot of votes due to the silly changes.) I believe I have enough
Chars to say that freely. Almost 1 char per Class, expect for Bards. I've
made Tard at lvl 26 old school, and I've made alot of 3x40 chars :)
