'help scrybite' says minimum mana 15, yet it costs 25 mana to cast at 5x40.. something ain't right there..

you want to talk about spells/skills not working right, look at concentration. i see NO improvement in preventing lost concs. in fact, i seem to lose them as much as (if not more than) a char who hasn't learned it yet

I checked the code, it ought to reduce lost conc significantly. Of course concentration only works on mage spells and some avatar spells; cleric spells and other avatar spells use meditation, and nothing works on new-class spells.

Scrybite is supposed to be 15, my bad. Fixed but it won't go in until our other server recovers from some weather problems in whichever state it's in.

well.. it's half fixed.. it's now at 20 mana cost instead ( o)(O )
(there was a reboot last night)

After a bit of thought I realized that that is because at level 40 you still haven't reached the minimum mana cost. So, the minimum mana cost is effectively 20. (I can cast it for 15, though). I'll change the help.
