Excessive questions at relogin after lost connection

Postby Yasik » Sat Jul 18, 2015 12:45 pm

Hello!
May I sugegst removing those I believe unnessecary questioning on relogin screen?
What purpose they serve? Isnt it obvious that yes, we DO WANT to cut the previous connection and take control back of our characters asap, who knows what is happening there while we pondering...

But for those who share characters kinda screws them over, and a group, especially if they're tanking. No?

I wonder if we could make that an individually toggleable setting.
To turn on or off the question at will.
That sounds like something that would satisfy the yea and the nay votes both.
Worth a shot to propose it, is all.

As Toxis says, the prompt has value. A client can easily auto-answer these questions if you don't want them; there's no similar workaround if you do want them and the MUD does not ask them. I think we're fine here.

That depends on who you think are "we", and I am most definitely not among those.
Could anyone explain the necessity of the line shown below that asks me to press enter, please?
I see no reason of its existence.

It's probably there because something in the original Diku code base didn't work without it. I'm guessing the paging of the motd or something like that.

It probably stayed there because no one cared to get rid of it.

It'll probably stay there further because we don't want to break any existing log on scripts.
