From what I can ascertain, it seems most of the time that the stat rolls are individually cyclical, but the frequency of the cycles differ for each stat, so having them all hitting near the peak of their respective cycles at the same time is pretty rare, but it obviously does happen. Of course classo also determines the range of each stat somehow as well.

Actually, perhaps this can illustrate my point best. I record my rerolls, and since I'm home now, I have access to them. These were all rolled at the same time, either yesterday or the day before. Keep in mind that I'm shooting for a dex of 17-18 with these rolls:

Str: 17 / 0, Int: 8, Wis: 9, Dex: 13, Con: 14
Str: 16 / 0, Int: 10, Wis: 12, Dex: 13, Con: 15
Str: 14 / 0, Int: 11, Wis: 12, Dex: 13, Con: 14
----tick----
Str: 18 / 84, Int: 9, Wis: 11, Dex: 11, Con: 18
Str: 18 / 55, Int: 11, Wis: 14, Dex: 14, Con: 17
Str: 18 / 53, Int: 13, Wis: 13, Dex: 14, Con: 16
----tick----
Str: 16 / 0, Int: 8, Wis: 9, Dex: 9, Con: 14
Str: 15 / 0, Int: 10, Wis: 11, Dex: 13, Con: 13
Str: 14 / 0, Int: 12, Wis: 12, Dex: 14, Con: 14

Figure that it takes me a few seconds to copy the rolls out of wintin and into word, so I do about 3-4 rolls a minute. Judging by what Blackmore posted, it seems a reasonable risk to spam tokens if I get a good roll.

As far as I can tell from careful examination of the code, the random numbers are random. It shouldn't matter how long you wait; there should be no correlation between successive rolls. I have heard reports of long apparent patterns, but I investigated them at the time several months ago and, given the algorithm for ordering the rolls, discarding low dice, etc., they just weren't that unlikely. That's what I think.

I just roll...always as nekkid as I can be though...and if I cant hold enough crap I'll wear the non +stat stuff only (although thats recent, I used to put it all away until I was nekkid). The rolling nekkid thing comes from way back when I started (1993ish). Either way, I dont wait a tick and rolling fast or slow I've seen the same types of streaks so I'm not so sure about that theory.

I used to keep all my rolls but I always lose them so I dont have a record of anything but the last 20 or so...and of those the highest stat total was like 72 until the ones I kept.

I really think the patterns are random and if you see a pattern it's because you want to see a pattern. The human mind likes to jump to conclusions because we all like things better if we think we understand them.

I think this latest char took as many tokens as the last 3 combined...must have been around 120 or so. (not what those who have spent 500+ tokens want to hear I'm sure).

Oh yeah, I also tend to roll 'em when I get them. I have enough chars to play that I dont need to hoarde them and waste coins paying rent. Anyone who's been in channel with me the past month knows I tend to switch chars a lot...(so I'm obsessive compulsive and couldnt wait to roll that shiny new token I had just gotten....)

Yeah true, it IS a random number generater.. although when a particular stat is rolling low it tends to (in general) stay low for successive rolls, and slowly build up, and vice versa.. does anyone else notice that, or has it just turned out that way for me for some reason? (I rolled well over 400 hex for Weasel to get stats, mostly in lots of 20 tokens, once with 50 successive rolls (which all sucked btw), but the same vague 'pattern' seemed to be apparent throughout.. maybe just a fluke?
