Information about the monk class

Some Suggestions

This shouldn't happen, for a couple reasons.
1st of all, thieves can stab/wind for flawless victory
I can not. On top of a a penalty to skillcasting % during grip, there is
evidently so much lag you cant blast, or even recall.

Secondly, and this has bothered me for a while, Thief primes get Poison
Monk primes get Kensai. Poison makes a thief_PRIME the lhardest stabber
yet kensai does not make monk_PRIME any tougher than a monk 2nd.
After 3x40 levels as monk prime these are my only two complaints.

Ok, while I' fixing this for you, I will also remove the ability to grip nostab mobs since thieves can not stab these types of mobs.

I have said this 100 times, the two classes can not be compared and the two skills can not be compared. They are not similar. And this is obviously for a reason. Deathgrip was never meant to be a solo move, for those of you attempting to make it one, be prepared for its downfalls.

Thirteen, you can not brag one moment about splorking great xp nostab mobs(which thieves can not do) and then two moments later whine because the same move lags you too much and you die from it.
Well you can but :-)

Kensai definately makes a monk prime a better gripper than a monk secondary, quad etc. Most importantly, you can kensai and splork mobs at a rate other monks can not because of how much shorter a time you reach your maximum focus damage. YOu can kensai and splork two nymphs in Tony's in the time it takes a monk seconday time to focus and MAYBE splork one. I would say this is rather nice.

Enjoy,
Splork

Damn, whats that noise I keep hearing? Waaa, waaa....

Not really, he survived the first round. Lotsa splork mobs or uber-mobs like the Eternal Flame don't even let you live that long.

500hps in a round thru sanc is pretty nice, but a good warrior prime can dish out about the same to an unsanced target. wa primes are overpowered!!

How the hell can a warrior prime dish out 500dam???
3-4 Attacks = 100-150damaga.
Firewind? = 125-250 (spelldam)
Kick??? = 20-30

Am I missing a prime skill?

with critical hit/massive critical hit and berserk/frenzy, i'd say a wa with 19-20 dam and a sword of valor does rather more than 150 hps dam with avatar attack.. and firewinds are more like 350hps when you add in av bonuses and spelldam
Don't be stupid - we have politicians for that

this is the fun part, now keep up with me here.

i didn't even mention keepin in decent armor class, but.
at -10 +21 is rather standard at tard w/ sword of valor.
i can run strider at a fun -10 +23 w/ same sword.
so, at +23 w/ a 4d5 weapon. now granted, this wouldn't be the
norm, but i just said "possible". i get max roll of 20 w/ all four
attks (in my dreams!) then i also mass. crit hit for 3xdamage with each attack. so now i'm at my 43damage x3, that ='s 129 or so. take that times 4 and i'm at my target of 500. take into accnt berserk and a nice
bard adding 10damage for me. and a warrior can do some serious
hacking damage in a group. and since mobs seem to make most all saving throws against my spells, a good hacker can equal a good winder fairly quickly. and don't even make me add in that massive flail damage!!

ok, peace out hosers, and remember an old professor of mine and his favorite response to my question of; "am i doin this right?"...."it's possible but not probable."

Warrior hacking

Pretty interesting, but it seems you can't use critical hit / massive critical at the same time you use berserk. Turning on berserk means no critical hits.

Other than that...bards rock.
