Items repop

Postby El_Furax » Sun Aug 29, 2004 7:40 am

Hi guys,

New question :
Are items worn by mobs available in unlimited quantities ?
Or limited ? Or are they unique ?
Is there such thing as rare/non rare items ?

TIA

Generally speaking items poped by mobs follow the following pattern:

Mob A pops item A with a certain pop rate. For example 1D20. The amount of items is not limited but whether an item is rare or not will depend on 2 things:

1. How difficult the mob which pops the item is and how often it is killed
2. The poprate

The lower the poprate and the harder the mob, the rarer the item is likely to be.

Of course there are also rare items that nobody needs and therefore nobody cycles.

This means that the mob will not always have the item on it each time and you have to kill it until it eventually pops with the item ? Ouch, will take time for young jedi like me to get decent gear !

Thanks for the answer NExt.

In general: mages blast harder, clerics heal better, druids hug trees tighter, necros play with the dead, warriors hit harder, thieves stab, bards sing songs, and monks have lots of different ways of causing physical harm

Yep exactly. With lower end items, which you'll mostly likely be using at the moment it normally takes between 3-10 kills to get something, later on tho' you may well find yourself killing the same mob 50-60 times before you get your pop. My personal record of bad luck was 210+
kills on a mob, that poped a cp to a forge which had like 9 other cps :)
