Supplication

Postby Daisy » Tue Nov 01, 2005 12:26 pm

I've learnt how to use supplication,

I've found out that at cleric 20 I can supplicate 3 creatures:
lares (if good)
manes (if evil)
peri (if good)

I've worked out I can't order them around remotely (unlike familiars) but they fight fairly well (also unlike familiars).

I've found out that at least one of these has a special ability, at least one disappears after some time on its own without being killed.

Thats about the sum total of my ignorance.

I've searched the forums, help files, rest of the website and asked questions in game, but I can't find out any more.

The sort of things I'd like to find out are:

Do supplications have spells they can cast? They have mana ...
Is there a list of which are good /evil and their levels?
Is there details anywhere of what abilities / fighting strength they all have?
Do they all have a limited lifespan? if so how long is it?

If not it would be helpful to me and perhaps others if you have any knowledge of supplications that it could be posted here, then perhaps I'll compile it into a definitive list (if one dosen't already exist)

Let me know what you think,

Daisy

The help file says that all supplications disappear after 30 hours, so I guess that's 30 ticks?

They also disappear if they die (Yup!) or if you kill a mob that has the same alignment they are. Like, if I had a peri and I killed a good mob, the peri would disapprove and float away :(

Peris can cast spells! They cure you! :D

I dunno, I'm not a very good cleric myself, so I can't tell you much :(

Ok, I will try to get the book about the good-aligned supplication mobs in shops tonight or tomorrow.

Edit: Urdas has them now.

Further edit: the seraph, djinn, and valkyrie entries describe what those mobs are intended to do; they don't do it yet,

What has been the cause of these crashes in the last 2-3 days ?
Seems pretty frequent.
The perfect blend of poetry and meanness..

Heya Blaster! I haven't been on much, travelling some again, but it's nice to see that you still connect to the crier and check up on us every once in awhile.

From my perspective, Hell has always been frozen. Then again, I hate cold.

Bottom of the Stairs
Exits: East South Up
Urdas, head scribe of the Guild of Merchants, glares at his ale.

You can buy:
Price Item
----------------------
3000 scroll of homing
3000 a greasy scroll
3000 a scroll of knowledge
50000 a red and white staff

You ask Urdas the scribe about supplication.
Urdas the scribe tells you 'I don't know what you're talking about.'

You ask Urdas the scribe about King_Brand.
Urdas the scribe tells you 'I don't know what you're talking about.'

Weird.

I will put it back tonight; I don't know where it could have gone.

Maybe somebody has one you can borrow, til then.

EDIT: ok, it's back. Hopefully it will stay this time.
