+ to hit modifier

Postby ridall » Thu Jun 02, 2005 2:54 pm

I'm trying to figure out how valuable + to hit eq is when giving up possible damage. What "dice" are rolled to determine if you hit a mob (10, 20, 100 sided)? If I have +2 to hit and a d20 is rolled, that gives me a 20% better chance of hitting (in theory), but if its a d100, that's only a 2% improvement and not worth giving up + damage eq. Can anyone help me out? Thanks.

There was a really long thread on this like a week or two ago.. do a forum search and you should be able to dig it up.
That said, it's NEVER worth giving up +dam for +hit, imo
Don't be stupid - we have politicians for that
